Schalke once again produced some headlines for newspapers, because the old “eurofighter” Olaf Thon is going to leave the club. He seems to be angry that nobody asked him for his opinion about candidates for the manager role at Schalke. Their last sporty-stuff looks much better then this stupid headline, which just brings more chaos in this situation. It seems to be a good solution that Büskens and Mulda took over the trainer-job, because they can bring some working atmosphere in this chaotic situation. These two guys have a lot respect in Schalke, so it should be quite around the team and since they are back, the team is playing much better football. The defense seems to get stable again and for this match, Rafinha is bacl from his one match suspension, so it should just be better for Schalke.

Cottbus is just a joke in the offense and they were lucky to win against Bielefeld. The only reason for this was that Bielefeld didn’t use their chances. Angelov is suspended for this match, so Cottbus will get more trouble. They are playing some really bad football, especially in their away-matches and I just don’t see a chance for them.

Schalke is getting stornger again with three strikers in the starting formation and some solid defense. This should be clear win for Schalke.

Marseille is in some kind of „premium“ trouble. They are on first place of the league table what seemed impossible some months ago, because (once again) Lyon was there running away from all other teams. But all this changed and now Marseille is on top of the table after some great matches in the league. But it seems like they decided to try their best also in UEFA cup, so they will have to play aggressive offense, because they lost first round with 2-0 against Shakhtar.

Shakhtar never really looked good in away matches this season and this weekend we saw how nice Marseille can play when they switch to a 4-4-2 with aggressive offense. Brandao and Wiltord are cup-tied, so all hope is on Kone and Niang. Both sides are strong enough to score any time and the Marseilles tactic will dominate this match, because an aggressive attacking produces goals.

Already in first tie of this, Paris was not a real strong team. In Kiev the favorite for this is 100% Dynamo, because of a non tired squad after a championship that is already done for them, because they are too strong in front of all other league teams. Kiev will probably start with same squad like in Paris, so only with one real striker, but they have with Bangoura a great joker on their bench and maybe we see a surprise with Bangoura from beginning on to put Paris from first second on under pressure.

Paris is going to play without Hoarao after a bad first match from him, so he can get fresh for the hart French league. Kezman is not in the squad and Makelele and Giuly will probably be rested, too. Oaris has some hard weeks to go in France because there is a big fight between Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux and Paris for the international premium places: the champions league. As I already wrote in first round of this: I think Kiev has the better midfield and this should be most important argument of this match.

Porto will have an unchanged squad against ManU. Still injured are Fucile, Benitez and captain Emanuel, but this injuries are not new. The probable lineup looks like this: Helton - Sapunaru, Cissokho, Alves, Rolando - Raúl Meireles, Lucho González, Fernando - Lisandro López, Hulk, Rodriguez.

ManU will have some bigger changes, because few players are ready to play after smaller injuries. First of all of course the most important defensive guy next to Vidic: Ferdinand. Berbatov is also ready to rumble and Anderson seems to be fit too. Probable lineup for ManU: Van der Sar – Evra, O’Shea, Vidic, Ferdinand – Anderson, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Giggs – Berbatov, Rooney.

I don’t care about this historical data that all journalists are talking about. This is only to fill some more words in their previews, so the boss of their newspaper will give them a hug. ManU will not be so stupid again to play with only one striker like at the beginning of the first leg, because this is not their kind of play. Ferdinand will give them the necessary stability in the defense and Berbatov and Anderson some nice boots in their offense. At the end, when we take a look at the teams and also at the difference in ManU’s squad between today and last week, there can only be one conclusion: Porto is without a chance. I also expect some early attacking, so also early goals.
